History
123FD was formed in 2004 by Ken Ashdown.
A Chartered Accountant, Ken qualified in the early eighties with Ernst and Whinney (now Ernst and Young) and by the age of 28 achieved his first Finance Director role. His career progressed to include being Finance Director of toy maker Dekkertoys, lawnmower manufacturer Hayters, jam manufacturer James Robertson and Sons as well as being involved in Private Equity funded projects and independent owner managed businesses.
Throughout his career, Ken has been successful in growing profitability, merging / relocating businesses as well as creating business plans / raising finance and leading acquisition teams.
Now living in Cheshire, Ken specialises in supporting a number of owner managed businesses in achieving their business and finance aims.
His strong IT and analysis skills have enabled him to extract and interpret valuable information from clients' systems and databases – enabling them to react quickly to underlying movements and trends and has assisted owners in making the right decisions to keep their companies both viable and profitable.
