What will it cost?
 
Well, that very much depends! All assignments are different, calling on different disciplines and taking differing amounts of time. The best way to answer this is to arrange a meet to talk through the issues fully. We will then prepare an assignment plan and quotation. What we can assure you is that it will compare favourably with our competitors.

How will it work?  
We do a lot of listening and asking of questions. Your business will be fascinating to us and we want to quickly develop a sound grasp of its unique features. We will talk to you at some length about what is required. Is it a specific challenge you have such as raising funds? Or is it more of a vague "pain" such as having instability in the finance team and are getting "surprises" without knowing why they are happening?

From this information, a proposal will be prepared that will address the issues raised. It will include likely timescales, budgets, goals and the inputs required from you and us in order to achieve the desired results. Together we will talk through the proposal, clarify any points that you are unsure of and, if needs be, revise the assignment in light of a "clearer picture" emerging. Should you wish to proceed, we can agree final terms and schedules and begin preparations for working with you.

No two assignments are alike, after all no two organisations are! The important thing to remember is that the assignment will be developed not only to achieve tangible results, but to work in a way that fits with your organisation.
What is the Diagnostic Business Review? 
During what's typically a half day visit to your premises, we talk through a variety of issues with you and get a "feel" for the nature of your organisation. It's a great opportunity for you to pick our brains and to get an outside and often more objective view of your business. It's completely confidential and gives you a good insight into the opportunities and possibilities available.

The review will involve talking to the owner / manager and later the person who fulfils the role of Head of Finance - whoever that may be. We will normally ask for a copy of your data so that historical analysis and trends can be reviewed and assimilated for later discussion.

At a later date the review will be prepared, which covers the areas that we feel you may want to consider developing. On a short return visit we will present the review to you and be happy to discuss any issues that you feel are important. Simple as that! No obligation, definitely no hard sell. If you want to take things further, that's great, if not, you've lost nothing and hopefully gained quite a lot!
